Wireless multimedia communication system

Since 2006 Vodafone Automotive are active also in the field of wireless motorcycle communication with Cobra Hellobiker®, today in its second generation. Besides intercom connection between rider and pillion, Cobra Hellobiker® 2.0 allows for bike-to-bike communication and enables Bluetooth® connection with e.g. cellular phones, music players, satellite navigation systems. Riders can talk comfortably with their pillions without any wires hindering their movements, answer phone calls in handsfree mode, listen to music and the indications from the navigator in the earphones.

Set up area

This tool allows you to modify some operation parameters
- Bluetooth® profile choice;
- Intercom enabling on start;
- Conference call / Share music function enabling on start;
- Sound volume scaling (conversation / music);
- Sound volume settings (conversation / music / voice tags).


01. 1st STEP - INSTALLATION OF THE DRIVER
       To use the Set-up tool, you need to download and install this driver software first:

02. 2nd STEP – INSTALLATION OF THE SET-UP PROGRAM SOFTWARE
       Download this file HBIIsetup, then execute it (guided installation, please follow the        prompts that appear on your screen).

03. 3rd STEP – USE OF THE SET-UP PROGRAM
       Start HBIIsetup from the “Start” menu of Windows, then connect your Cobra Hellobiker®        (OFF) to a USB port via a USB A to mini B cable. The LED on the unit flashes in        green (charge mode); depending on the hosting OS, you might need to download and        install “.Net Framework 3.5 “.

Firmware area

This section provides guidelines for the download of firmwares with vocal menus in different languages or firmware upgrades.


01. 1ST STEP – ASK FOR A FIRMWARE
       To download a firmware (e.g. a firmware with voice tags in a different language), you        first need to
       - Use the set-up program (see section “Set-up Area”) to read the “Product Code        (Bluetooth Address)” of your unit (high on the left of the screen). This code is required        for the generation of the firmware;
       - Download and unzip all the files in DFUWizard.zip to a directory, for example to the        desktop;
       - Click here and send an e-mail with the information detailed in this attachment        You will receive the firmware by e-mail. Unzip it and install it as described below.
       In the event that you receive an error notification, do not install; ask for the firmware to        be e-mailed again.
